Our ultimate goal is to provide an inclusive environment where families feel heard, understood, and can enjoy purposeful exploratory play without ever having to say 'I'm sorry.'”

CLOVIS, CA, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) proudly awards the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation to We Rock the Spectrum – Clovis, a family-owned kids' gym operated by the Reyes family, a neurodivergent family committed to creating a welcoming space where children can play, explore, and enjoy sensory experiences. To earn the CAC designation, at least 80% of client-facing staff completed autism and sensory training to better understand the experiences of autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals and learn strategies for providing more welcoming and supportive experiences. In addition to training, We Rock the Spectrum – Clovis received an onsite review by IBCCES, which included recommendations to further enhance accessibility and develop sensory guides.

"As a neurodivergent family ourselves, we know what it's like to search for answers and a safe space for our children," says Christopher Reyes, We Rock the Spectrum - Clovis owner. "Becoming a Certified Autism Center™ was a vital step for us to ensure that our team is fully equipped with best practices to support autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals. Our ultimate goal is to provide an inclusive environment where families feel heard, understood, and can enjoy purposeful exploratory play without ever having to say 'I'm sorry.'"

“Creating more welcoming recreational experiences starts with equipping staff with the knowledge and tools to understand and support different sensory needs,” says Myron Pincomb, CEO and board chairman of IBCCES. “We Rock the Spectrum – Clovis’ commitment to autism and sensory training demonstrates the value of creating an environment where autistic and sensory-sensitive children and their families can feel comfortable, supported, and included. Their specialized equipment and calming spaces further show how thoughtful accessibility efforts can make a meaningful difference in a family’s experience.”

We Rock the Spectrum – Clovis’ accessibility initiatives and support offerings include:
● Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) Designation: The gym has partnered with IBCCES so that all staff are fully trained and certified in best practices for assisting autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals.
● Sensory-Safe Equipment: The gym features suspended equipment for vestibular treatment, crash mats for motor planning, a zip slider for stress release, and sensory-based toys to support auditory processing.
● Calming Room: A dedicated, quiet space designed to help children regulate emotions and reduce sensory input.
